Antonino Amico, 94, a resident of Bethel and formerly of Pleasant Valley and Port Chester, NY died June 15, 2016. He was born April 26, 1922 in Asoria, NY to the late Pasquale and Grace Granatelli Amico. He graduated from Saint Gabrielle’s High School, Columbia University and Fordham Law School.  Mr. Amico served in the United States Navy and was a Lieutenant Commander. During World War II he served in the battle of Normandy and the Battle of Hiroshima, from 1951 to 1955 He was stationed at the Brooklyn Naval Yards and the Pentagon.  Mr. Amico was married on December 26, 1948 to Mary Brathowski at Our Lady of Mercy Church in Port Chester.  He was an attorney for Allstate Insurance Company in White Plains, NY retiring in 1988.  He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Church in Port Chester and a usher and altar server. He was also active in Port Chester Boys Scouts Troop 11.  Mr. Amico is survived by his wife Mary Amico of Bethel, CT., sons Russell Amico, M.D. and wife Carol of Waccabuc, NY., and Bruce Amico of Bethel, CT., daughters, Cynthia Campbell and husband Douglas of Zion Cross Road, VA., and Lynn Johnson and husband Michael of Flowermound, TX., grandchildren Kenneth Campbell and wife Carla, Ryan Campbell and wife Kris, Danielle Amico, Alexis Amico and Steven Amico, great grandchildren David Campbell and Ethan Campbell.  He was predeceased by his brother Pasquale Amico, M.D. and sister Doris Sergeant.  Visitation will be 9:00AM to 10:30AM on Monday June 20, 2016 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00AM at Our Lady of Mercy Church 260 Westchester Ave. Port Chester, NY. Interment to follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery Rye Brook, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Regional Hospice and Home Care Center for Comfort Care & Healing 30 Milestone Rd. Danbury, CT. 06810
