Dorothy S. Carter

Dorothy S. Carter, 86, passed away on July 2, 2015, at home with her loving family by her side. A lifelong resident of Port Chester, New York, she was born August 26, 1928 to Sophie and Florian Popp. She is survived by her beloved husband, Mervil( Bud) Carter of 55 years. Dorothy was a devoted mother to her two daughters, Doreen Muller (Richard) of Naperville ,IL and Debra Rizzuto (Michael) of Nanuet, NY. She was a proud grandmother to her five grandchildren who she dearly treasured; Jessica, Nicholas, Nicole, Steven and Emily. Dorothy was predeceased by her five brothers; Frank, John, Alex, Joe and Eddie and two sisters; Helen and Anna. Dorothy was deeply loved by all and will be sadly missed. Visitation will be 5 to 9 PM on Monday July 6, 2015 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00AM on Tuesday July 7, 2015 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 229 Willett Ave., Port Chester, NY. Burial will follow at Putnam Cemetery, Greenwich, CT.
