Edward D Roth

Edward D. Roth, 89, a resident of Greenwich, CT died April 30, 2016. He was born November 3, 1926 in Port Chester, NY to the late Casper and Margaret Holly Roth.  He was raised and educated in Port Chester, graduating from Port Chester High School.  He served in the United States Army during World War II in the Pacific Theater.  Mr. Roth was the owner and operator of Roth Nursery in Armonk with his brother Walter.  He was the widow of Lorraine  Riley who died in 1964 and then Nora Hogan who died in 2003.  He was a member of the Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church in Rye Brook, NY and a member of the Port Chester American Legion. Mr. Roth is survived by many nieces and nephews.  Besides his wives he was predeceased by his children Lynn and Joanie Roth, brothers Walter, Robert, Alfred and George Roth, sisters Margaret Kutka, Mildred Dunphy, Ruth Coupe, Helen Neill and Catherine Ruth.  Visitation will be 4-8PM on Tuesday May 3, 2016 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc.  Funeral Service will be 10AM on Wednesday May 4, 2016 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church 761 King St. Rye Brook, NY. Interment to follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery Rye, NY. Memorial donations in memory of Mr. Roth may be made to the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
