Eileen M (Fitzgerald) Braun

Eileen M. Braun, 83, a resident of Rye Brook passed away April 8, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was born September 13, 1933 in County Kerry, Ireland to the late Maurice and Catherine O’Shea Fitzgerald. She was raised and educated in Ireland and graduated from Saint Ultan’s Nursing School in Dublin, Ireland.  Mrs. Braun immigrated to the United States March 4, 1957. She was married September 5, 1959 to August “Red” Braun in County Kerry, Ireland. Mr. Braun passed away December 22, 1990.  She was a devoted parishioner for over 50 years and a daily communicant at Our Lady of Mercy Church in Port Chester, and was a longtime Rosarian.  Mrs. Braun is survived by her beloved children, Edward A. Braun and Gerald M. Braun both of Stamford, CT., Catherine B. Hand and husband David of Wilton, CT. and Eileen M. Titolo and husband Tom of Brookfield, CT., brothers Ned Fitzgerald  and Pat Joe Fitzgerald both of Ireland, sisters Kathleen Keag of Staten Island, NY. and Angela Baxter of England, grandchildren, Kerry Hand Linderoth, Kevin Hand, Madelyn Hand, Lindsey Hand, Tyler Braun, Nicholas Titolo, and Noelle Titolo. Besides her husband she was predeceased by sister Mary O’Keeffe.  Visitation will be 4-8PM on Tuesday April 11, 2017 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10AM on Wednesday April 12, 2017 at Our Lady of Mercy Church 260 Westchester Ave. Port Chester, NY. Interment to follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery Rye Brook, NY
