Elizabeth "Betty" Tiso

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth “Betty” Tiso of Rye Brook, NY, beloved sister, aunt and friend, on New Year’s Day, January 1, 2017.  Betty was born in Mt. Vernon, NY on June 22, 1925 to Americo Tiso and Clementina Collarusso Tiso.  She attended Mt. Vernon schools, and upon graduation from AB Davis High School, began her lifelong career as the invaluable manager of the BC Manufacturing Co in Mt. Vernon.  After Betty retired she spent most of her time enjoying and managing the daily comings and goings of her numerous nieces and nephews. 

 Betty was a remarkable, strong, kind and generous woman who did so much for so many over the span of her entire life.  Betty was predeceased by her parents, sister Mary, and brothers Jerry, Anthony, Louis, John.  She is survived by brother Americo Tiso and wife Rosemarie.   She will be immeasurably missed by nieces and nephews Jerrilynn Tiso, Dianne Tiso Orlando and husband Albert, Barbara Tiso Symonette and husband John, Karen Tiso Martin and husband Glenn, Lisa Tiso Bankson and husband Brian, Marilyn Tiso Camardella and husband Scott, Janice Tiso, Anthony Tiso, Joseph Tiso, Richard Tiso, Peter Tiso and Ian Tiso  Great nieces and nephews Christopher Lucente, Albert Orlando Jr., Samantha Symonette Gumina, Mark Symonette, Dylan Symonette, Jeffery Martin, Amanda Martin Griswold, Mallory Bankson, Zachary Tiso, Shelby Camardella, Justin Gumina and Natalie Gumina, Marshall Symonette, Sophia Griswold, Nicholas Tiso and Justin Tiso.

Visitation will be 4-8PM on Wednesday January 4, 2017 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 10AM on Thursday January 5, 2017 at Saint Michael the Archangel Church 469 North St. Greenwich, CT. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery New Rochelle, NY
