Elna N. Barrese, 89, a lifelong resident of Port Chester died September 10, 2016. She was born October 31, 1926 to the late Ivar and Signora Granerod Numme. She was raised and educated in Port Chester Schools.  She was married April 6, 1947 at Our Lady of Mercy Church to Frank Barrese. Mr. Barrese died March 4, 1998. Mrs. Barrese was a retired legal secretary for Monroe Mann, Esq.  She was a parishioner of the Corpus Christi Church and a member of the church choir.  She was also a member of the Port Chester Civic Choral Society, Greenwich Choral Society and the Federico Village Singers.  Mrs. Barrese is survived by her son Frank Barrese and wife Patricia of Fairfield, CT. daughters Junine Saxton of Mount Vernon, NY and Elna Barrese-German and husband Armando of Norwalk, CT. brother Knute Numme and wife Rina of Port Chester, NY  6 grandchildren, Kiam Barrese, Erika Blackwell, Bianca Barrese, Frank Erik Barrese, Jessica Parker and Krystina Koziel, 11 great grandchildren Mikaya Newell, Kyree Newell, Jezaiah Parker, Niara Flax, Asaad Blackwell, Nalani Blackwell, Julian Parker, Brayden Parker, Kameron Parker, Nori West and Arthur James Barrese and 1 great great grandson Jace Torres..  She was predeceased by her brothers Kaare, Rolf and Ivar Numme and sister Randi Petrovich.  Visitation will be 4-8PM on Tuesday September 13, 2016 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00AM on Wednesday September 14, 2016 at Corpus Christi Church 136 South Regent St. Port Chester, NY. Interment to follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery Rye, NY. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association
