George J. Betz, Jr.

George J. Betz, Jr.,  88, a lifelong resident of Port Chester died May 29, 2016. He was born April 15, 1928 in Port Chester, NY to the late George J. Betz, Sr. and Hazle C. Betz. He was raised and educated in Port Chester and graduated from the Port Chester High School in 1945. He was a seaman in the Merchant Marine from 1945 to 1955 and he also served two years in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged as a Specialist Third Class AUS in June 1957. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Mary, his daughter, Christine Banuls (David) of Pine Bush, NY and son John (Kathleen O’Connor) of Ayer, MA. Visitation will be 6-8PM on Wednesday June 1, 2016 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Funeral Service will be 11AM on Thursday June 2, 2016 at the funeral home.
