Gerardo “Jerry” Livornese, 77, a resident of Rye and formerly of Rye Brook, NY died August 11, 2016. He was born November 17, 1938 in Castel Baronia, Provence Avellino, Italy to the late Giuseppe and Angelina Bianco Livornese. He was raised and educated in Italy and immigrated to the United States at the age of 16. After immigrating to the United States he put himself through F.I.T. and became a very well known fashion designer. He had a passion for bocce and cooking and was recently visible as a restaurateur. He loved his family, grandchildren, traveling and spending time with his lifetime partner Susan. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. There was only one Jerry. He is a parishioner of the Our Lady of Mercy Church in Port Chester. Mr. Livornese is survived by his children, Joseph Livornese of Rye Brook, NY and Lisa DiLeo and husband Alfred of Port Chester, NY, Lifetime Partner Susan Bianco of Rye, NY. grandchildren Alfred and Theresa DiLeo and Joey and Jessica Livornese, brother Luigi Livornese of Tampa, Fl. and sister Connie Santorelli North Carolina. He was predeceased by his wife Theresa Procopio, brothers Salvatore and Paul Livornese. Visitation will be 5-9PM on Monday August 15, 2016 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10AM on Tuesday August 16, 2016 at Our Lady of Mercy Church 260 Westchester Ave. Port Chester, NY. Interment to follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery Rye, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Saint Jude’s Children's Research Hospital.
