Harry was always so kind to all. I remember having great talks with him at the Avon Circle vegetable garden. He enjoyed Our Lady of Mercy Church and put his heart into all its programs, particularly Fr. Joe's multimedia events. He will be missed as a kind soul and a good friend!

I met Harry Florentine in my summer ministry at O L Mercy Church, Port Chester in 2002...n it was the beginning of a fifteen year long friendship....I met him over two meals in the summer of 2016..at Port Chester... So sad to hear of his passing...His Sunday Reflections sent ti me via email were superb. Please do continue to inspire from your heavenly abode...Rest in peace dear Harry.

My condolences to Harry's family. He is a long time friend since OLM school days. I will miss his many posts on FB, but rejoice that his life was well spent to the very end. He is with his beloved family and friends in the Lord's heavenly kingdom now. Pacem, to a good friend.

Indeed it was a very sad day, hearing of Harry's passing, he has been my neighbor at Avon Circle for 27 years. Kind and deeply caring man. He loved his church and community I will miss all his updates from new food adventures to community events. His love for animals showed goes with saying, his love for his cat "Mr. Socks" God Bless and Keep You Harry.

On behalf of my entire family, please accept our sincere sympathy on the passing of Mr. Florentine. While I first encountered him occasionally while in middle school as a substitute teacher, he was always a constant at Our Lady of Mercy. What an intelligent, kind, and caring man this world has lost, until we meet again. His faith has certainly secured his place in paradise. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and may perpetual life shine upon him.
