She is survived by her beloved children; her daughter Christine Mignone of Norwalk, her son, Michael Mignone and his wife Nicole of Clark, NJ and her brother John Nolan West and his wife, Patricia of Stamford, CT.  Also surviving are the “lights of her life”, her grandsons, TJ & Jake Savvaides of Norwalk/Wilton, her granddaughters Kylie and Mia Mignone of Clark, her nephew Andrew West, his wife Jennifer and son Leonard of Portland, OR and her niece Allison West of Stamford.
Karen’s true joy was her family.  She was a loving mother & grandmother who could so often be heard bragging about “all of her babies”.  Karen had an incredible gift of floral design, decorating and especially wreath making.  Her wreaths were truly a work of art!  Her greatest pride was in knowing that every member of her immediate & extended family, as well as friends from all over, had one of her amazing creations to enjoy.  Karen’s infectious energy, gift of gab and desire to make people feel special will be missed by everyone who knew her. The family would like thank Dr. Thomas Rutherford and his entire staff at Smilow Cancer Center and The Norwalk Hospital’s 6 East staff for their superb care.  A memorial mass will be held at 10am on Friday, December 19, 2014 at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 260 Westchester Ave., Port Chester, NY. Interment will be immediately following at Greenwood Union Cemetery, 215 North Street, Rye, NY.  There will be no visitation.
