Lena Ciccone

Lena Ciccone, 98, of Cromwell Ct. and Port Chester, NY passed away at the Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home on March 19, 2015.  Family surrounded her at her passing

Lena was born of the late Joseph and Angela Patafio on February 8, 1917 in Port Chester, NY.  Her late husband, Francesco Ciccone, predeceased her in 1999.  She was a life-long resident of Port Chester NY until moving in with her daughter, Joan Ramirez, in 1993. 

Lena was a devoted wife and mother and worked side-by-side with her husband Frank in running Ciccone’s Italian Sausage Co.  She enjoyed frequent trips to Italy to visit relatives and friends.  She exemplified the simple virtues of hard work, family and good Italian cooking.Lena is survived her children, Peter Ciccone of Greenwich Ct. and Joan Ramirez of Cromwell Ct. as well as her late husband’s brother Nunzio Ciccone and his wife Pina of Reggio Calabria Italy.  Three grandchildren also survive her:  Peter F. and Neala Ciccone of Forest Hills NY, Susanna Ciccone McKenna of Falmouth MA, Michael and Mareika Ramirez of Middletown CT, and her great grandson, Luca Ramirez. 

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 24th at the Craft Memorial Funeral Home in Port Chester, NY from 4 to 8pm.  A mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, March 25 at Corpus Christi Church in Port Chester, NY at 10:30 AM.  Interment will be private.
