Marie G (Scappatura) Morabito

Marie G. Morabito, 85, a resident of Port Chester died September 30, 2016. She was born November 21, 1930 in Greenwich, CT. to the late Thomas and Vincenza Scopoletti Scappatura. She was raised and educated in Greenwich, graduating from Greenwich High School in 1948.  She was married August 26, 1950 at Sacred Heart Church in Greenwich to Rocco Morabito.. She was an assistant head cashier at Korvette’s Department Store in Port Chester for 18 years and then was with the clerical staff at Union Pen & Pencil in Greenwich, Ct until her retirement in 1997. Mrs. Morabito was a parishioner of the Holy Rosary Church in Port Chester. She was also a member of the Red Hats and the Port Chester Senior Center.  She is survived by her husband Rocco Morabito of Port Chester, daughters Diane Bencivenga and husband Carl of Port Chester and Barbara Irwin and husband Bill of Rye Brook, grandchildren Amy Bencivenga, Steven Bencivenga, Billy Irwin, III and Kimberly Ritacco and husband Chris.  Visitation will be 4-8PM on Sunday October 2, 2016 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10AM on Monday October 3, 2016 at Holy Rosary Church Don Bosco Pl. Port Chester, NY. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery Rye Brook, NY.
