Mary (Buzzeo) Passero

Mary Passero, 88, a lifelong resident of Port Chester died January 31, 2015. She was born March 15, 1926 to the late Donato and Alfonsina Capocci Buzzeo and raised and educated in Port Chester.  She was the widow of Sam Passero who died January 7, 2007.  Mrs. Passero was a homemaker and a parishioner of the Corpus Christi Church.  Mary was known for her cookies and sponge cake. She is survived by her beloved daughters, Mary Perillo and husband William of Stamford, CT., Hope Vespia and husband Steven of Rye Brook, NY., Faith Battista and husband Tom of Rye, NY and Cindy Passero of Port Chester, NY. sister Barbara LaRussell of Southbury, CT. and sister in law Florence “Tootsie” Federico of Port Chester, NY.  grandchildren Joseph Passero, Samara Vespia, Ashley Vespia, Samantha Battista and Deirdre Battista and great granddaughter Marley Namack. Visitation will be 4-8PM on Wednesday February 4, 2015 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30AM on Thursday February 5, 2015 at Corpus Christi Church 136 South Regent St. Port Chester, NY. Interment to follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery Rye, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Port Chester Rye Brook Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
