Michael J Fleming

Michael J. Fleming, 87, a gentle soul with a great wit and a large capacity for kindness and giving, will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was a resident of Port Chester and died January 21, 2016. He was born April 13, 1928 in County Kerry Ireland to the late Thomas and Elizabeth Carmody Fleming. He served in the United States Army.  He was a devoted parishioner and usher at Our Lady of Mercy Church. He enjoyed having tea by the fire with his family as well as riding his bike through town well into his senior years.  He is survived by his daughters Eileen and Shelia (Andy), grandchildren Siobhan, Tommy, Sean, Michael, Tara, Andrew,  two great grandchildren, and sister, Maureen McDonough. He was predeceased by his brothers and sisters Joan Murphy, Jim Fleming, Margaret Casey, Paddy Fleming and Shaun Fleming.  Visitation will be 6-9PM Friday January 22, 2016 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10AM on Saturday January 23, 2016 at Our Lady of Mercy Church 260 Westchester Ave. Port Chester, NY. Interment to follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery Rye, NY
