Mieczyslaw Babula

Mieczyslaw Babula, 78. a resident of Garden City, NY and formerly of Port Chester died December 5, 2014. He was born September 28, 1936 in Poland to the late Jozef and Maria Wiatr Babula. He immigrated to the United States in 1975 and was a painter for the Westchester Country Club in Rye, NY. He was a parishioner of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Port Chester and a member of the Young Men’s Society of the Polish United Club. He is survived by his wife Zofia Wos Babula, son Sylwester Babula, daughter Ursula Babula Kurczyk, granddaughters, Natalia Babula and Emily Kurczyk and brother Marian Babula. He was predeceased by his brother Frank Babula and sister Wladzia Babula.  Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9PM on Thursday December 11, 2014 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc.  Funeral Mass and burial will take place in Gawluszowice, Poland.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church 229 Willett Ave. Port Chester, NY 10573
