Regina "Jeannie" L Jacobson

Regina “Jeannie” Louise Jacobson (64), loving and beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend, died of a sudden myocardial infarction on December 7, 2016. She lived in the YAI Rye Brook group residence, and was an Assistant Teacher at WARC, Portchester, NY. “Full of beans” and generous of spirit, she loved books, television, movies, concerts, travel, and parties. An active self-advocate and supporter of Special Needs services and activities, she was an inspiration in how she handled her intellectual and developmental disabilities.

She is survived by her best friend Amy Beth Tell, her father Dr. Julius H. and step-mother Joan L. Jacobson, her sister Dr. Wendy Jacobson (Andrew H. Miller), her brother William Lawrence Jacobson (Elizabeth R. Jacobson), her brother-in-law James Wildman, her nephews Maxwell, Jackson Miller and her nieces Annalise, Sara Jacobson, as well as her group home family at Rye Brook.

She is pre-deceased by her mother Beverly Greenberg Jacobson (2009), her sister Janet (2014), and her brother David (2003).

Friends may call at Craft Memorial Home, Inc on Sunday, December 11. Visitation will be at 11AM with funeral service to follow at noon.
