Rocco Scappatura

Rocco Scappatura, 98, a resident of Rye Brook, NY died November 13, 2014.  He was born April 30, 1916 to the late Rocco and Angela Scappatura. He was raised and educated in Port Chester. He served in the United States Army during World War II in the European Theater. He was married May 4, 1941 at Holy Rosary Church to Annette Calabro. Mrs. Scappatura died April 28, 2007.  He was a millwright having worked at R.B. & W. in Port Chester for 20 years. He is survived by his son Ronald Scappatura and his wife Mary Ann of Rye Brook, NY, granddaughter Amy Scappatura of Port Chester, NY and sister Margaret Chiappetta of Monroe, Ct. He was predceased by his 4 brothers Dominick, Nino, Peter and Philip and sister Jennie.  Visitation will be 5-9PM on Monday November 17, 2014 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:00AM on Tuesday November 18, 2014 at Corpus Christi Church 136 South Regent St. Port Chester, NY. Interment to follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery Rye Brook, NY.
