Ronald Charles Rhoads, 69, a resident of Port Chester died January 17, 2018. He was born April 16, 1949 in California, PA., to the late John S. Rhoads and Mildred Meyers Rhoads. He was raised and educated in Pennsylvania and graduated from Cornell University with a degree in Hotel Management. He played football while at Cornell and was president of his fraternity Chi Psi.   He was also an Eagle Scout and a member of the Order of the Arrow and received the God and Country Award. He traveled through out Europe and Asia. He was married June 19, 1971 at Our Lady of Mercy Church in Port Chester to Ursula Anulis.  His passion was researching his genealogy and he wrote books on his family history.  He is survived by his beloved wife Ursula Rhoads of Port Chester,  beloved daughter Melissa-Eve Aversa and her husband Antonio "Vinny" of Larchmont, NY.,  beloved grandchildren Haley-Rose Ursula Aversa and Vincenzo-Ronald "Ronnie" Aversa, brothers Ray Rhoads and wife Dottie of Pennsylvania, Robert Rhoads and wife Sharon of Florida and Rodney Rhoads and wife Pam of North Carolina, sister Jacqueline Donkers and husband Edward of Pennsylvania, brother in law Peter Gustovich of Pennsylvania and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Loretta Gustovich. Funeral Service will be 10AM on Monday January 22, 2018 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Interment to follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery Rye, NY.  A Celebration of His Life will be held 11AM on Saturday February 10, 2018 at Mamaroneck United Methodist Church 546 Boston Post Road Mamaroneck, NY.  Memorial donations may be made to MS Society or the American Cancer Society.
