Rosario Morales, aged 65, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Rosario was born on December 22, 1952 in Cochabamba, Bolivia to the late Hernan Araoz Vega and Lucy Araoz Torrico.
Rosario graduated with her master’s degree in literature. She was passionate about her job and dedicated 33 years to teaching. She taught adult education at BOCES for 25 years and believed each of her students could achieve their goals by rising to their full potential. By following the footsteps of her mother Lucy, who was also a teacher, she learned the importance of education for all human beings.
Rosario also taught the citizenship program to immigrant students and believed, with conviction, that their triumph was achieved in taking the steps necessary to become citizens of this country.
Rosario was long-standing member of CAFH, a spiritual path.
Charito, her nickname used by family and close friends, was a wonderful wife and mother. She is survived by her husband, Humberto Morales, and her three children, Annelice Morales, Adriana Morales Wilson and Gabriel Morales, and three sisters Ada Abrego, Patricia Tejerina and Magda Prudencio. She also leaves behind numerous caring relatives and friends.
The service will be privately held.
