Anthony M Russo

Anthony M. Russo, 86, a lifelong resident of Port Chester, died peacefully May 14, 2017. Born June 13, 1930 to the late Paul and Mary Ciancuillo Russo, Anthony graduated Port Chester High School in 1948. He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany during the Korean War before marrying Marie Daleo (d. 1978) of White Plains, NY. Following his military career, Anthony joined the Town of Rye Police Department, where he served as an officer for 23 years until his retirement in 1977, at which time he opened and operated RPR Lounge & Restaurant in Port Chester until 1992.

Anthony was predeceased by his wife, Marie Daleo, two brothers, Joseph & Louis Russo and daughter-in-law, Barbara Russo. He is survived by his two sons, Anthony Russo (Anita) and Michael Russo (Barbara, d. 2010), of Thornwood, NY, along with his grandchildren, great-grandchild, and longtime companion: Dayna McConnell (Scott), Nicole Russo, Kristyna Nigro (Matthew), Sarah Buffa (Kenneth), Taylor Russo, Sadie Marie Nigro, and Adele Barchella.

Visitation will be 4-8PM on Wednesday May 17, 2017 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. in Port Chester, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10AM on Thursday May 18, 2017 at Corpus Christi Church 136 South Regent St. Port Chester, NY. Entombment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery Rye Brook, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice Care of Westchester & Putnam 540 White Plains Rd. Tarrytown, NY 10591.
