Anthony "Dave" Sciandra, 89, a lifelong resident of Port Chester, NY, peacefully passed away March 8, 2019. He was born July 20, 1929 to the late Antonio and Maria Moore Sciandra. He was raised and educated in Port Chester. Dave was married July 6, 1952 in Harrison to Rose Marie Paterno. She pre-deceased him on July 3, 2013. Dave was a technician for Aero-Vend in Port Chester, NY. Prior to that he owned George's Custard Stand at Rye Beach and also serviced arcade games and jukeboxes at Playland. Prior to his retirement, he was a building superintendent at 287 Bowman Ave. in Rye Brook, NY and also worked with his son at Landscape Management Systems in West Harrison, NY. Dave was a parishioner of Corpus Christi Church in Port Chester and Saint Paul's Roman Catholic Church in Greenwich, CT.
Dave is survived by his son Anthony Sciandra III and his wife, Sandy of West Harrison, NY, and his daughters Kathi Sciandra Walker and her husband Steve of Culpeper, VA and Christine Sciandra of Rye Brook, NY; brother Angelo Sciandra and sister Louise Grandazzo of Port Chester. Dave was pre-deceased by brother Louis Sciandra. Grandchildren include Laura Sciandra Simpson (Tony), Michaela Sciandra, Anthony Sciandra, IV, Leah-Marie Walker, Elizabeth Ann Walker, Michael Casarella and Daniel Casarella. Great grandsons are Aiden Casarella and Graham Simpson.
Visitaton will be 4-8PM on Sunday March 10, 2019 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. 40 Leicester St. Port Chester, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:45AM on Monday March 11, 2019 at Saint Paul's Roman Catholic Church, 84 Sherwood Ave., Greenwich, CT. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery Rye Brook, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Rye Brook PBA or the Port Chester -Rye Brook-Rye Ambulance Corps.
