Carole (Valenti) Burpo, a former resident of Port Chester, passed away on January 15 in Apopka, FL. She was 66.
She was born August 2, 1952 in Port Chester, NY to Stella and Peter Valenti. She graduated Berkeley College in White Plains.
On May 4, 1975, she married Frederick Burpo at Our Lady of Mercy in Port Chester, NY.
She was a 33-year veteran associate of General Motors working in various disciplines from customer service culminating in being the Business Resource Manager for the Northeast region. She retired in 2009.
She was active in community service endeavors such as being a Girl Scout leader in Airmont, NY. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Danbury, CT.
She is survived by her husband, Frederick Burpo of The Villages, FL; a son James and his wife Tanya of Gloucester, VA; a daughter Francine and her husband Andrew and their three sons, Drew, Bennett and Dylan of New Market, MD.
She was predeceased by her brother, Peter J. Valenti.
A memorial gathering will be Friday February 1, 20189 from 11AM to 2PM
at Craft Memorial Home, Inc,
A memorial service will be 2PM at the funeral home with a committal service to follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery Rye Brook, NY.
Memorial donations in memory of Mrs. Burpo may be made to VITAS Health Care Hospice or to Saint Jude's Children's Hospital
