Domenick "Mimi" P. Catalano, 89, a lifelong resident of Port Chester died August 25, 2019. He was born September 29, 1929 in Port Chester to the late Phillip and Domenica Piccone Catalano. He was raised and educated in Port Chester. He served in the United States Navy in Korea. Mr. Catalano was a retired employee of the Village of Port Chester in the maintenance department. He was a carpenter and a fixer for many. He was a coach at the Don Bosco Center in Port Chester for many years and was also a little league baseball coach. Mr. Catalano was the manager of the Don-A-Tones a local singing group. He dedicated his life to coaching children. He was the widower of Carmela Vaccaro Catalano who died December 24, 2018. Mr. Catalano is survived by his daughters Donna Mecca of Stamford, Ct. and May Barbieri of Florida, grandchildren Stephanie, Michelle, Jacqueline, Julie, Christian and Lauren and great grandchildren Ariiyah and Noah. Besides his wife he was predeceased by his brother Daniel Catalano and sister Josephine Romanello. Visitation will be 9AM to 12 Noon Wednesday August 28, 2019 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc., Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:30PM at the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 84 Sherwood Ave. Greenwich, Ct. Interment is private. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital Memphis, TN.
