Dominick P. Paniccia, 90, a lifelong resident of Port Chester died May 12, 2019. He was born May 8, 1929 in Port Chester to the late Domenico and Carmela Francia Paniccia. He was raised and educated in Port Chester
graduating from Port Chester High School in 1947. He served in the United States Army from 1951 to 1952 and was a corporal serving in France. He was married April 10, 1955 at Corpus Christi Church to Paula Rita LaBella. Mrs. Paniccia died in 1993. Mr. Paniccia retired from sales in 1993 from Macy's Department Store in White Plains, NY. He worked part time in international sales and then worked part time in the family construction business Allied Construction. He was a parishioner of Corpus Christi Church. He was avid Yankee and Giants fan and believed defense won championships. He enjoyed bowling, woodworking and astronomy. He loved riding his bike and gardening and spending his time growing vegetables and tomatoes. His greatest joy was spending time with his family especially his grandchildren's sporting event and school functions. He loved spending time in Maine with the family and at the cabin in the Adirondacks.
Mr. Paniccia is survived by his beloved children Daniel Paniccia and his wife Dawn of Rye Brook, NY., Michael Paniccia of Port Chester, NY., Dr. Deborah Hoch, DNP and husband Michael of Kennebunk, ME., Diana Berardi and husband John of Rye Brook, NY., grandchildren Derek Paniccia and Peter Paniccia, Brooke Darash, Dr. Victoria Hoch, MD, Christopher Hoch, Caroline Hoch, Jonathan Berardi, Joseph Berardi, Robert Bertolacci and Casey Bertolacci, great grandchildren Dorian Darash, Reed Darash and Aiden Paniccia. sisters, Elizabeth Street of Tempe AZ., Rosalie Corbo of Fishkill, NY and Anne Paniccia of Orlando, Fl. Besides his wife he was predeceased by his daughter Paula Bertolacci, brothers William and Nicholas Paniccia and sisters Mary, Lucy and Nancy Paniccia and Connie Parlatore.
