I am shocked and saddened dearly at discovering Doug has passed away. He was an exceptional friend who always brought Laughter to my day. Liz was always by his side a sweet and charming woman. Each time he visited his father in Arlington he would ask what he should place on my fathers memorial while there.
I am and will continue to miss him greatly

We are so sad to hear this news. Our deepest condolences to the Wing family. Douglas was a kind, thoughtful man. The way he looked after his mother, Liz, with complete love and devotion and care, was beyond what I have seen any man do for his parents.

We are so shocked at this news, as Douglas was so incredibly young and spritely, and would buzz around his garden with such energy. He brought us his homemade meatballs when we moved in, and was so helpful in every way to new neighbors, and was really sweet with our young son, and was patient with us.

We will miss Douglas.

My sincere condolence to the Wing family. I have known Doug for over 20 years. I live in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. We had last spoken on Thanksgiving. His laughter was contagious. He was so proud of his niece and nephew and spoke of them often keeping me updated on their accomplishments. He was totally committed and proud to be taking care of his mother. Doug, I will miss our friendship and talks. May you rest in peace.

It is with great sadness that I send my condolences to Doug's family. I live in Denver, CO and have enjoyed a long distance phone friendship with Doug for many years. When personally meeting him, I was immediately drawn to due to his warm, charming and humorous nature. I will so enjoyed our telephone chats, greeting card exchanges and the shoulder I could rely on for honest advice. Doug was an insightful, intuitive and an intelligent man. His life was filled with love from many here on earth. In my heart I know he is at peace in the spiritual world. I will miss him very much and feel blessed to have had him in my life. I hope this message adds some comfort to his family that he loved and cared so deeply for.

I am so sorry to see this. Doug was an amazing man - with everything he had to do, he still took time over the past few years to help us and our mother. We will be thinking of all of you, especially Bunny and Carol. Our love is with you.

My deepest sympathy to the Wing family. Doug and I were childhood classmates and recently reconnected when I moved back to the neighborhood. I so admired his dedication to his parents, especially the way he has been caring for his mother. Often, I would see them walking in the neighborhood and when I would stop to say hello, he was most attentive to drawing his mother into the conversation. May we all be so brave as to be as caring to our family members as Doug was with his. Blessings on the family.
