Emilia "Amy" Culen Brajuka

Emilia "Amy" Culen Brajuka, 89, a resident of Rye Brook for 41 years passed away September 28, 2019.  She was born June 21, 1930 in the Bronx to the late Lukas and Klementina (nee. Boskovia) Culen. She was raised and educated in New York City. Over the course of 9 years of study, raising her 3 daughters as a widow, she received her Associate’s Degree from Nassau Community College and her Bachelor’s Degree from Molloy College. She retired from the New York Telephone Company as an Executive Assistant to the Vice President after 25 years of service.
Mrs. Brajuka was a devoted Catholic. She sung with the choir at Good Counsel Chapel with Sisters of the Divine Compassion, was a past secretary for the Port Chester Chamber of Commerce and a past board member of the Rye Ridge Condominium Association.  She was an avid swimmer who enjoyed the pool and beach.  Her life was devoted to her family, from her late parents to her great-grandchildren. Mrs. Brajuka valued education above all. Among her descendants include: a doctor, a meteorologist, an engineer, a forester, a biologist and educators. She is survived by her daughters Lisa and Helen;  grandchildren Isabella, Jacob, Erica, Lukas and Sally; great-grandchildren Isabela, Elías, Makenzie, Abigail, Jaxon and Briella. Amy was predeceased by her husband, Joseph, her daughter Catherine and her brother Albert.

Visitation will be 1-3PM and 6-9PM on Tuesday October 8, 2019 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 10AM on Wednesday October 9, 2019 at the Good Council Chapel at the Sisters Of The Divine Compassion 52 North Broadway White Plains, NY. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery Queens, NY
