Mrs. Josephine (Tedesco) Braccio passed peacefully into eternal rest on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at the King St. Rehabilitation Center. Born on January 3, 1926, she was a lifelong resident of Port Chester and one of eight children, and the youngest of five girls, born to Matteo and Carmela Tedesco of Port Chester. She was married on September 19, 1948 to her beloved husband, Rocco Braccio, who passed away on July 31, 1996. She was pre-deceased by all of her seven siblings including her sisters, Catherine, Pauline, Matilda (Tillie), and Santa (Sadie) and by her brothers, Joseph, Santo (Sandy), and Fredrick. She is survived by her four children, Daniel (and his wife, Patricia), Joan (and her husband, Frank), Stephen (and his wife, Maria), and Mark. She also dearly loved and enjoyed her three grandchildren, David, Michael, and Matthew. While not busy raising her family, Josephine was employed with CRI Sales in Port Chester, and worked also for the Town of Greenwich. She was also a member of the Port Chester Senior Center and of The Red Hats. She loved flowers and gardening. She also bowled in a women’s league for many years. She kept in touch with many of her high school female classmates through “The Club” which met regularly for more than 50 years. Visitation will be 4-8PM on Friday November 24, 2017 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc.. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 25 at 10 am at St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, 84 Sherwood Ave. in Greenwich, CT. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Port Chester. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Josephine’s memory to the American Diabetes Association 2451 Crystal Drive, Suite 900, Arlington, VA 22202
