Josephine (Morano) Ruta

Josephine Ruta, 99, a resident of Rye Brook, NY died February 15, 2018. She was born December 16, 1918 in Port Chester to the late Louis and Lillie Calabrese Morano. She was raised and educated in Port Chester graduating from Port Chester High School in 1936. She was the widow of the late Frank Ruta who died May 11, 1981.  Mrs. Ruta was a retired clerical worker for Direct Media and also had been a head cashier at Korvett's Department Store in Port Chester, NY.  She is survived by her daughters Celia Ciotti and her husband Donald, Jo-Ann Ruta, Darlene Noriega and husband Wilfredo and Francine Ruta. grandchildren Charles Barber, Cheryl Costa, Frank Noriega, Giselle Noriega, Christine Ruta, Samantha Ruta and Raquel Ruta, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband she was predeceased by her sons, Joseph Ruta and Francis Ruta and daughter Lillian Barber, granddaughter Danielle Pandolfo Funeral services will be announced at a later date.
