Louis J. “Gigi”  Giorgi, Jr., 78, a resident of New Kingston, NY and formerly of Port Chester died March 9, 2017 surrounded by his family after a long illness. He was born July 6, 1938 in Port Chester to the late Louis and Margaret DeCrescenzo Giorgi. Louis graduated from Port Chester High School in 1956 and served in the US Navy from 1956 to 1958. He was the owner and operator of Em-Ro Builders Corp. in Port Chester. He was married on October 4, 1959 at Corpus Christi Church to Emily Colaluca. Mr. Giorgi was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Church in Port Chester and Sacred Heart Church in Margaretville, NY.
Louis was an avid hunter, fisherman and snowmobiler. He was also an accomplished stonemason. In his later years he was a tile setter and stained glass craftsman. He fulfilled his dream of retiring to the Catskill Mountains with his wife. Louis was a devoted husband, father and a beloved grandfather to his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Emily Giorgi of New Kingston, NY., children Louis Giorgi, Jr. and Adelia Hunter of New Kingston, NY., Margaret Giorgi Riehl of West Harrison, NY and Christopher Giorgi and wife Elizabeth of Danbury, CT., sisters Emily Groglio of Rye Brook, NY,  Johanna Weber and husband George and Felicia Russo Minor and husband Ira all of Fort Meyers, Fl., grandchildren Melissa Giorgi Siciliano and husband Tony, Louis Giorgi, IV, Gianni Giorgi, Lindsay Riehl, Cayla Riehl, Ashley Giorgi, Christopher Giorgi, Jr. He is also survived by  many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be 4-8PM on Wednesday March 15, 2017 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 10AM on Thursday March 16, 2017 at Holy Rosary Church Don Bosco Pl. Port Chester, NY. Entombment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery Rye Brook, NY. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Margaretville Volunteer Fire Department 77 Church St. Margaretville, NY 12455 or to Charles William Melillo Scholarship Fund 93 Perry Av e. Port Chester, NY 10573.
