Patricia E (Hoey) Rockwell

Patricia E. Rockwell, 92, a resident of Greenwich, Ct. died August 25, 2018.  She was born December 19, 1925 in Port Chester, NY to the late John and Dorothy Simons Hoey. She was raised and educated in Port Chester graduating from Port Chester High School in 1943 and then graduated from Manhattan Medical College Assistant School of Xray in 1944 and then Grasslands School of Nursing in 1957.  Mrs. Rockwell was married February 24, 1946 at Our Lady of Mercy Church to Clarence "Bud" Rockwell. Mr. Rockwell died in 1995.  She was a registered nurse at United Hospital in the Psychiatric Department from 1957 until her retirement in 1994.  Mrs. Rockwell was a parishioner of Saint Michael's Church in Greenwich and a volunteer at Meals on Wheels, Nathaniel Witherall Nursing Home and Rummage Round and was a past president of WALC.  She is survived by her devoted daughters, Darlene Mead (Gary) of Durham, NC., Randy Manzella (Victor) of Greenwich and Briann Gerbert (Christian)  of Stamford, 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren, sisters Dolores Drews of Ohio and Gail Garrity of Pittsford, NY. Besides her husband she was predeceased by her brother Jerry Hoey. Visitation will be 4-8PM on Thursday August 30, 2018 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc.  40 Leicester St. Port Chester, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11AM on Friday August 31, 2018 at Saint Michael's Church 469 North St. Greenwich, CT. Interment to follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery Greenwich, CT. Memorial donations in memory of Mrs. Rockwell may be made to Saint Jude's Children's Research Hospital or Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
