Robert A Morabito

Robert A. Morabito who was one of a kind passed away suddenly at the age of 61 on January 8, 2018. Robert was born on May 5, 1956 to the late Priscilla and Michael Morabito. He was the beloved husband of Kim Perkins Morabito. He was the devoted father of Aimee (Jameel), Chris, Sara (Antonio) and Michael (Brittany). He was the proud "E-PA" of Skylar who lit up his life every day. He was the loving cousin of Anne Marie Russillo and Vic (Nanci) Donato. He was loved by all of his family and lifelong friends. Besides his parents he is predeceased by his brother Michael Morabito, Aunt, Lee Russillo and cousin William Russillo.
Robert worked in compliance for First Investors Corporation for 28 years and was the Westchester County Deputy Commissioner of Environmental Facilities until 2009. He served as Rye Town councilman and supervisor for 17 years.
Robert was a member of the Port Chester Kiwanis Club, Elk's Club and the Knights of Columbus,  a member of the Advisory Board of Port Chester Carver Center and the Sound Shore Community Fund. He was also a member of the Port Chester Historical Society, Friends of the Port Chester Rye Brook Library, Friends of Crawford Park, Sierra Club and The Tamarack Tower Foundation.Robert lit up every room he walked into and was never without a smile. He lived his life for his family every single day and was the proudest democrat in any room.  We will miss him endlessly. Visitation will be 3-8 on Friday January 12, 2018 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30AM on Saturday January 13, 2018 at Parish of St. John Bosco (Our Lady of Mercy) 260 Westchester Ave. Port Chester, NY. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery Rye Brook, NY  In lieu of flowers please send donations to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
