Rocco F Morabito

Rocco F. Morabito, 90, a lifelong resident of Port Chester died November 27, 2017. He was born January 27, 1927 in Port Chester to the late Santo and Catherine Celtruda Morabito. He graduated Port Chester High School in 1944. Mr. Morabito served in the United States Army during World War II in the Pacific Theater. He was married on August 26, 1950 to Marie Scappatura at Sacred Heart Church in Greenwich, CT.  Mrs. Morabito died September 30, 2016.  He was a retired shipping clerk for Bantam Toys in Port Chester.  Mr. Morabito was a parishioner of the Holy Rosary Church and was a member of the Port Chester Seniors and in local veterans.  He is survived by his beloved daughters Diane Bencivenga and husband Carl of Port Chester and Barbara Irwin and husband Bill of Rye Brook, grandchildren Amy Bencivenga, Steven Bencivenga, Billy Irwin, III and Kimberly Ritacco and husband Chris and great granddaughter Aria Marie Ritacco.  Besides his wife he was predeceased by his brother Leo Morabito and sisters Tardina Morabito and Domenica Vivona. Visitation will be 4-8PM on Wednesday November 29, 2017 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10AM on Thursday November 30, 2017 at St. Pauls RC Church 84 Sherwood Ave. Greenwich, CT. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery Rye Brook, NY.
