Salvatore Marino, lifelong resident of Port Chester, New York, passed away on Sunday, February 25th, 2018 at Greenwich Hospital after a long illness. “Sal” was 85 years old. Born on January 20, 1933, he was the son of Mary and Salvatore Marino. He graduated from Port Chester High School and served as a military police officer in Okinawa after the Korean War. He worked as a draftsman for Vectron Labs for many years before his retirement. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers: Daniel, Anthony, and Robert, and his niece, Kathy Marino. Sal is survived by his sister, Carmella Bueti of Port Chester, his nephews: Daniel (Tisha), Michael (Kathy) and Richard Marino; his nieces: Marie Roulx (Kenneth), Nancy Colletto (Sam), Barbara Jean Rodrigues, Debra Provadakis (Bill), Maria Lombard (Thomas) and Christina Miles, as well as his many great-nieces and nephews. Sal was a kind and generous man who was loved by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be 4-8PM on Wednesday February 28, 2018 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10AM on Thursday March 1, 2018 at St. Pauls’ RC Church 84 Sherwood Ave. Greenwich, CT. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery Rye Brook, NY. In liu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital Memphis, TN or to the charity of one’s choice.
