Walter D. Cain, 78, a resident of Rye Brook, NY died August 10, 2018. He was born February 29, 1940 in Greenwich, CT to the late Ewing and Dorothy Blake Cain. He was raised and educated in Port Chester, graduating from Port Chester High School. He was married to the late Mary "Sissy" Eisenbeck Cain who died February 29, 2012. Mr. Cain was a pipe fitter for local #91 in White Plains, NY and was employed by Erin Insulation Co. and then Flynn Construction Co.
After his retirement he enjoyed helping his wife care for numerous children in their home. He also enjoyed collecting model cars. He will be remembered by many for his goofy sense of humor, his two dollar bills, Entenmann Donuts and Haagen-Dazs Ice cream
He served in the United States Army from 1963 to 1965. Mr. Cain was also a parishioner of the Our Lady of Mercy Church in Port Chester. He is survived by his beloved daughters Debra Trevorah and husband Robert of Hawthorne, NY and Heather Escamilla and husband Paul of Sanford, NC cherished grandson Lincoln Cain Escamilla and "best buddy" Katie Smith of Port Chester, NY. He is also survived by numerous family and friends. Besides his wife he was predeceased by his brother Francis Blake Cain in 2016. Visitation will be 5-9PM on Monday August 13, 2018 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc., Funeral Service will be 8:30PM at the funeral home. Interment is private. Memorial donations in memory of Mr. Cain may be made the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital Memphis, TN.
