Angela "Millie" Della Valla Obituary


Angela "Millie" Della Valla, 95 a long time resident of Port Chester died May 4, 2020. She was born November 17, 1924 in Italy to the late Paul and Ortenza Ruffalo Salerno. She was raised and eucated in Port Chester graduating from Port Chester High School in 1942.  Mrs Della Valla was married on September 5, 1948 to Frank Della Valla. Mr. Della Valla died November 12, 1970.  She was a customer service representative for Luxo Lamp Company in Port Chester. She was an active member of the Port Chester Seniors, member of the Holy Rosary Ladies Auxillary, Saint Ann's Sodality, and the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxillary. Mrs. Della Valla was an avid traveler. She is survived by her devoted children Lawrence Della Valla and his wife Patricia of Danbury, Ct. and Valerie LaRusso and her husband Richard of Norwalk, Ct., sister Frances Embesi and her husband Pat of Port Chester and brother Bruno Salerno and wife Barbara of Florida, grandchildren Lisa Marino, Frank Della Valla, Lindsay LaRusso (Tim Bracey), Michael LaRusso and Zachary LaRusso, great grandchildren Anthony Marino, Aidan Marino, Aubrey Bracey and Zoey Bracey.
Due to the current Pandemic all funeral services are private. A memorial mass will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in memory of Mrs. Della Valla may be made to the Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley 80 Woods Road Valhalla, NY 10595 www.rmh-ghv.org
