Ann M. Tedesco, 88, a longtime resident of Port Chester, NY. Ann passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on April 1, 2026. She was born January 4, 1938, in Harrison, NY to the late James and Ann Maxwell Straface. Ann was raised and educated in Harrison, graduating from Harrison High School in 1957. She was married to Bernard Tedesco on April 26,1959, at Saint Gregory the Great Church in Harrison, NY. Mr. Tedesco died September 16, 2021.
Ann was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and was a parishioner of the Corpus Christi Church in Port Chester.
Ann began her career at Life Savers headquarters, where she built a strong foundation before dedicating herself to raising her family. Afterward, she returned to the workforce, taking on various roles she truly enjoyed. She had a natural gift for creating joyful, memorable experiences, whether through her work or in her own home—and she carried that passion into every aspect of her life. Her warmth and creativity made every moment feel special, leaving lasting memories for all who knew and loved her.
Ann had a love for cooking, a green thumb for flowers, plants and vegetables and a natural talent for decorating. She had a true zest for life and was always the first to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her home was a place where everyone felt welcome, a warm and inviting space filled with kindness and laughter.
Family was at the center of Ann’s world. She delighted in planning gatherings, celebrating every occasion, big or small, and creating cherished memories that would last a lifetime. Her generosity, warmth, and joyful spirit touched all who knew her, leaving a lasting impression on the hearts of those she loved.
Ann made everyone she met laugh. Even during her long illness, she continued to bring smiles to all around her with her humor and strength. She had a remarkable ability to lift spirits and brighten any room.
She brought joy to all, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, love, and resilience that will never be forgotten.
She is survived by her beloved children John Tedesco and his wife Julie of Park Ridge, NJ., Laura DeLaurentis of Port Chester, NY, and Bernadette Salvatore and her husband Joseph of Stamford, CT, grandchildren Jamie Arena (Joseph), Jessica Tedesco (Anthony Regina), Nicholas Tedesco (Kristen), Carissa Basciano (Nicholas) Samantha DeLaurentis (Brandon Romain), Alexandra Salvatore (Justin Mei) and Taylor Bolton (Douglas) great grandchildren Joseph, Aubree, Mia, Francesca, Vincent, Sophia, Jack, Matthew, Enzo, Giavanna, Layla and two more on the way. Besides her husband she was predeceased by her brother James Straface and great grandchild Baby Nicholas.
Heartfelt thanks to Angela, Rosa, Lynn, her nurse Maria and Father Ed for their devoted care of Ann. Special thanks to Calvary.
Visitation will be 8:30am-9:30am on Tuesday April 7, 2026, at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10AM at Corpus Christi Church 136 South Regent St. Port Chester, NY. Interment to follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery North St. Rye, NY
