Anthony F. Bucci, 94, a lifelong resident of Port Chester died September 15, 2024 surrounded by his family. He was born June 29, 1930 in Port Chester to the late Frank and Lee Ciccone Bucci. Anthony was raised and educated in Port Chester graduating from Port Chester High School in 1948. He went on to serve in the United States Army in Korea from 1951 to 1953 and was a corporal. Anthony was married on October 17, 1954 to Jeanette Cotte at Holy Rosary Church in Port Chester, NY.
He was a truck driver for Petro Oil Company in Stamford, Ct. He retired June 29, 1994. Anthony was a devoted parishioner of the Our Lady of Mercy Church in Port Chester, NY.
He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 69 years Jeanette Bucci of Port Chester, NY., his beloved children Denise Iobbi of Rye, NY., Sharon Bria and her husband Joseph of Stormville, NY., Don Bucci and his wife Erin of Purcellville, VA. and Steven Bucci and his wife Maria of Rye Brook, NY., grandchildren Kyle Iobbi (Marissa) of New York City, NY., Jaclyn Schrader (Kyle) of Mount Kisco, NY., Joseph Bria (Annie) of Raleigh, NC., Anthony Bria (Nada) of Baltimore, MD., Anthony Bucci (Sara) of Melville, NY., Ciara Bucci of Washington, DC., Carina Bucci of Richmond, VA., Aliza Bucci of Richmond, VA., Bianca Bucci Paolini (Sam) of Rye Brook, NY., Christian Bucci of Austin, TX. and Joseph Bucci (Madison) of Rye Brook, NY. great grandchildren Luca Iobbi, Carson Schrader, Hailey Schrader, Seraphina Bucci, Isabella Bucci and Peter Paolini. He is also survived by a large devoted family of sister-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Don Bucci.
Poppy spent many years traveling the USA in his motor home, boating and fishing with his family. He cherished family above all, making his grandchildren and great grandchildren his priorities. A man of few words, Poppy believed in letting his actions speak louder than anything he could say. He lived a life rooted in integrity, kindness and quiet strength, setting an example for those around him.
Visitation will be 4-8PM on Wednesday September 18, 2024 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30AM on Thursday September 19, 2024 at Parish of Saint John Bosco
(Our Lady of Mercy Church) 260 Westchester Ave. Port Chester, NY. Interment to follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery Rye Brook, NY
