Anthony G Sotire

Anthony G. Sotire, 64 a resident of Rye Brook, NY died November 13, 2022 peacefully at home surrounded by his family.  He was born June 15, 1958, to the late Peter G. and Rosemarie Cerone Sotire.  He was raised and educated in Port Chester graduating from Port Chester High School in 1976.  He then graduated from Westchester Community College.  He was the owner of Double R A Construction Corp in Rye Brook, NY. Anthony married Maria Verderame on March 27, 2010. Anthony loved many things:  family & friends, softball, whitetail deer hunting, the LV Raiders, and NY Mets as well as his many fish tanks.  He also loved spending time at the family property in upstate New York.  He was active in the community as a softball coach, Sunday School teacher and played the drums in the church worship team.  Anthony is survived by his wife Maria Sotire of Rye Brook, NY., son Peter J. Sotire and his wife Nicole of Port Chester, NY, daughter Nicole Sotire and Cameron Ricci of Tampa, FL, step-daughter Jessica Sanchez and her husband Louis of Nyack, NY, step-sons Samson Verderame and his wife Kristina of Chesterfield, VA and Joshua Verderame and his wife Abby of Pearl River, NY, sisters Paula Claydon and her husband Jim of Rye Brook, NY, Angela Labianca and her husband Carlo of Patterson, NY, and brother Greg Sotire and Sheri Grandazzo of Port Chester, NY, grandchildren Rose Maria Sanchez, Anastasia Sotire, Asher Sanches, Anthony Sotire and Jack Verderame, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family
Visitation will be 4-8 pm on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at Craft Memorial Home, Inc.  The funeral service will be on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at Mount Zion Baptist Church, 23 Slater Street, Port Chester, NY.  Interment is private.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Saint Jude's Children Research Hospital, Memphis, TN.
