Assunta (Pignatro) Gabriele

Assunta Gabriele, 92, a resident of Stamford, Ct. and formerly of Port Chester and Greenwich died April 20, 2021. She was born September 12, 1928 in Greenwich, Ct. to the late Frank and Micolene Pignatro. She was raised and educated in Greenwich graduating from Greenwich High School.  Mrs. Gabriele was married on January 3, 1948 to Frank Gabriele.  She worked for many years at Kaplan's Department Store in Port Chester.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She loved her sweets (Especially cream puffs and cannoli's) and loved going to Foxwoods and playing the slots.
Mrs. Gabriele is survived by her devoted husband of 73 years Frank Gabriele, Sr., her beloved sons, Frank Gabriele, Jr., and his wife Jeanette, Robert Gabriele and Joseph Gabriele, Grandchildren Stephanie, Jessica, Joanne, Melissa, Jacki-Lyn, Robert, Dominick, Lindsey, Michael, and Frank. great grandmother of Gabrielle, Georgie, Mia, Maddie, Rose, Elaina, Cecilia, Victoria, Juliana, Nathan, Joseph, Gabriella, Albert, Rodney, Everett, Madalina, Trevor and Ava.  Also survived by brother Rocco.
She was predeceased by her son Dominick Gabriele, brothers Larry and Charlie, sisters Sara, Mary, Josie, Connie, Rose and Lucille.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9:30AM on Friday April 23, 2021 at Parish of Saint John Bosco (Our Lady of Mercy) 260 Westchester Ave. Port Chester, NY. Interment to follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery Rye Brook, NY. There will be no visitation.
