Barbara Ann (Berlingo) Cerone

Barbara Cerone, 81, of Rye Brook, New York, passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of Saturday, August 3rd. Barbara was born on December 19th, 1942 to Harmon Sr. and Mary Berlingo in Greenwich, Connecticut. She was raised in Port Chester, New York, alongside her brother Harmon. 

She graduated from Port Chester High School in 1960, and shortly after, married the love of her life, Carmine, on October 21st, 1962. Together, they created a beautiful family with their two daughters, Donna and Andrea. After working for 20 years as the Office Manager of Caputo & Associates, she retired, and spent her days shopping, enjoying a glass of white wine with her friends, and listening to Elvis Presley. 

She is survived by her eldest daughter, Donna Caputo, and her husband Rocco, of Greenwich, CT, as well as their children, her two granddaughters, Alyssa Caputo, and her husband Zak Vonderkall, of Scarsdale, NY, and Victoria Caputo of Port Chester, NY. She is also survived by her brother Harmon Berlingo, and his wife Teresa, of Greenwich, CT. While her presence will be greatly missed, Barbara has created a beautiful legacy that will continue to live on through generations to come. 

She is predeceased by her parents, Harmon Sr. and Mary, her husband Carmine, and her daughter Andrea. While the lives of her family here on Earth will never be the same, those who love her in Heaven are overjoyed by her presence and the beautiful reunion that they have long waited for.

Visitation will be held at Craft Memorial Home - Port Chester, New York on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Barbara on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at The Parish of St. John Bosco - Our lady of Mercy at 9:30 AM.  Barbara will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband Carmine in their family plot at St. Mary's Cemetery in Greenwich.
