Barbara A. Gerardi a resident of Port Chester, NY entered eternal life on February 12, 2023, at the age of 90. She was born February 26, 1932, in Port Chester to the late Joseph and Josephine Groglio Strozza. She was a graduate of Rye High School. On November 7, 1953, she married Paul F. Gerardi, Jr at Resurrection Church in Rye. She was predeceased by her husband in 2003, her sister Carmel Strozza, and brother Stephen Strozza. Barbara worked as a bookkeeper for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, Belle Cleaners and Westchester County Medical Society. During her retirement, she attended daily Mass and enjoyed bible study, church functions,
attending her grandchildren's sporting events, plays and concerts, shopping, and playing solitaire on her computer. She was a devoted parishioner of Corpus Christi Church for the past 63 years, where she was a member of the Christian Mothers and also volunteered as a bookkeeper, carnival worker and money counter. Her door was always open. She enjoyed hosting gatherings with family and friends. She is survived by her four children Robert Gerardi of Port Chester, NY, Paul R. Gerardi and his wife Stephanie of Port Chester, NY, Karen Foy and her husband Brian of St. Augustine, FL, and Steven Gerardi and his wife Veronica of Conway, SC. Her grandchildren, Christine Varbero, Tara Orlando and her husband Joseph, Paul J. Gerardi and his wife Angela, Daniel Gerardi and his wife Mary, Andrea Gerardi and her fiancé Andrew, Melissa Pickrell and her husband Scott, Vincent Foy and his wife Laura, James Foy and his fiancée Michelle, Connor Foy and his fiancée Ashlyn, Jennifer Blackburn and her husband Michael, and Steven Gerardi Jr. and his fiancée Jamie, seven great- grandchildren, Kylie Blackburn, Olivia Pickrell, Taylor Blackburn, Anthony Reillo, Christopher Blackburn, Zoey Foy and Capri Marie Gerardi. Also, several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 4-8 pm on Friday February 17, 2023, at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. 40 Leicester St., Port Chester. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 am on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Parish of Saint John Bosco (Corpus Christi Church) 136 South Regent Street, Port Chester, NY. Interment will follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery, Rye Brook, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Corpus Christi-Holy Rosary School, 135 South Regent St., Port Chester, NY 10573.
