Catherine (Kitty) Ann Monti passed away peacefully on June 23, 2021. Kitty was born on March 5, 1924 to her late parents Leonard and Margaret Ludwig of Glenbrook, CT. She was predeceased by her husband Philip F. Monti of 66 years. She is survived by her sons Carlo and Felix (Terri) Monti, and her daughters, Margaret (Joseph) Carpenteri, Maryann (Richard) Romaner, Elizabeth Hudson and daughter-in-law Kim Monti. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren Thomas Monti, Mandi (Dominic) Robinson, Joseph Carpenteri, Stephen Monti, Devlin McDermott, Michael Monti, Faith and Christopher Hudson and two great grandchildren Dominic and Dylan Robinson as well as several nieces and nephews. She was raised and educated in Stamford, CT and met her late husband Philip at Pitney Bowes where they both worked and then married in 1954. They resided together in Rye Brook, NY to raise their beautiful family of eight children. Kitty’s family brought her tremendous joy and she always enjoyed birthday and holiday celebrations with her family. She was a very soft spoken, spiritual, loving and kind-hearted person who everyone felt blessed to be around. Kitty was a devout catholic who always prayed the rosary for her family and friends when in need of prayers. She will always be remembered for the love and devotion she gave her family, her exceptional cooking and her sweet demure. She was predeceased by her sons Leonard and Mark Monti, daughter Catherine Monti-McDermott, daughter-in-law Patricia Monti and son-in-law Richard Hudson. She was also predeceased by her two brothers Frank and Buddy Ludwig and sisters Emma (Paul) Galog and Agnes (John) Coyle.
Visitation will be 8:30AM to 9:30AM on Tuesday June 29, 2021 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will follow 10AM at Parish of Saint John Bosco (Corpus Christi) 136 South Regent St. Port Chester, NY. Interment Greenwood Union Cemetery North St. Rye, NY.
