Charles A Vizzari

Charles A. Vizzari, 94, a resident of Port Chester, NY died March 15, 2022. He was born September 18, 1927 in Greenwich, CT. to the late Joseph and Raffaella Coloccico Vizzari. He was raised and educated in Greenwich graduating from Greenwich High School and attended Pace Institute in New York.  He served in the United States Marine Corp. Mr. Vizzari was married January 14, 1952 to Olympia L. Barone in Port Chester, NY. Mrs. Vizzari died August 24, 2009.  He was the owner and operator of the stationary store, Chucks Den in Port Chester, NY and then owned White Plains Smoke Shop in White Plains, NY., He then went onto working for the United States Postal Service in Pound Ridge as a postal clerk until his retirement in 1997.  He was a parishioner of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Port Chester.  Mr. Vizzari is survived by his sons Salvatore Vizzari and his wife Donna of Port Chester, NY. and Joseph Vizzari of Port Chester, NY., brothers Ralph Vizzari and his wife Cathy of Nantucket, MA. and Samuel Vizzari of Tampa, FL, grandchildren Torri Varbero and husband Patrick, Salvatore Vizzari, Jr., Robert Vizzari and his wife Megan and Dana Gurgitano and her husband Gabe, great grandchildren Ava Varbero, Stella Varbero, Nicholas Varbero, Mila Vizzari, Madison Vizzari and Ariana Vizzari.  Besides his wife he was predeceased by his son Charles Vizzari, Jr. and his brother Rocco Vizzari.
Visitation will be 4-8PM on Thursday March 17, 2022 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 10AM on Friday March 18, 2022 at Parish of Saint John Bosco (Corpus Christi) 136 South Regent St. Port Chester, NY. Interment to follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery Rye Brook, NY
