Christa-Luise (Vollmer) Lachmann

Christa-Luise Lachmann, 85, a longtime resident of Middletown, NY passed away peacefully on March 19th, 2021 surrounded by her family.  She was born on August 11th, 1935 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Ernst and Elisabeth Betz Vollmer. She was raised and educated in Penn Township, PA and graduated from Penn Hills High School in 1952. She  graduated from Bryn Mawr College with an AB in Chemistry and a minor in Geology in 1956.  Christa-Luise was the widow of Erich "Mickey" Lachmann who died on January 28th, 2007.  She was a bookkeeper for the family business Turnpike Super Service Inc in Middletown, NY.  Christa-Luise was a member of Saint John's Lutheran Church in Middletown, NY and a member and past president of the Women's University Club in Middletown.  She was a supporter of Planned Parenthood and La Leche League.  She is survived by her devoted children Elisabeth "Lisa" Lachmann MD and her husband Kevin Hunt of Briarcliff Manor, NY and Erich E Lachmann and his wife Kim Rose of Montgomery, NY; grandchildren Elisabeth A. Hunt and Erich S. Lachmann and brother E. Peter Vollmer of Williamsburg, VA. Besides her husband she was predeceased by her son Christian P Lachmann and grandson Lars C Hunt.
