Clara Figueroa, 97, a longtime resident of Port Chester died July 25, 2021. She was born August 12, 1923 in Maunabo, Puerto Rico to the late Victor and Isidra Figueroa. She was raised educated in Puerto Rico and settled in Port Chester 54 years ago.
She was devoted to her family, feeding and taking care of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also took great pride in feeding her neighbors.
Clara is survived by her sons Modesto(Moe) Acevedo and his wife Ginger of Port Chester, NY., and Alberto Acevedo and his wife Gloria of Port Chester, NY., daughters Dolores Martinez and her husband Emanuel of Puerto Rico, Anna Lima of Stamford, CT. and Teresa Santiago of Port Chester, NY, brother Manuel Figueroa of Texas, 18 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Mingo Lebron, daughter Olga Castro, granddaughter Gabrielle Acevedo, brothers Sebastian Figueroa and Victor Figueroa and sisters Octavia Figueroa, Antonia Figueroa and Carmen Rodriguez.
Visitation will be 4-8PM on Friday July 30, 2021 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30AM on Saturday July 31, 2021 at Parish of Saint John Bosco/Our Lady of Mercy 260 Westchester Ave. Port Chester, NY. Interment to follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery North St. Rye, NY
