Concepcion "Conchita" Paez a longtime resident of Port Chester died November 29, 2020 peacefully surrounded by her family. She was born December 7, 1928 in Cienfuegos, Cuba to the late Pablo and Josefa Quesada Iznaga. She was raised and educated in Cuba. 1971 she left her beloved island and settled in Port Chester where she met the love of her life. She was the widow of Pedro “Medina” Paez who died August 5, 1998. Mrs. Paez was a retired union 32BJ SEIU employee contracted at 1133 Westchester Avenue “IBM” in Purchase, NY. She was a devoted parishioner of the Our Lady of Mercy Church in Port Chester. She was the beloved Tia Chita to her niece Gail Ferreira and her husband Elbio and her entire family. Besides her husband she was predeceased by her sisters Mercedes Guerrero, and Candida Contino, Mary Torriente, brother in laws Jose Guerrero and Vincent Contino, nephew Emilio Guerrero, and niece Teresita Gonzalez.
Due to our current environment and concern for the safety of all, there will be no visitation.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10AM on Tuesday December 22, 2020 at the Parish of St. John Bosco (Our Lady of Mercy) 260 Westchester Ave. Port Chester, NY. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery Rye Brook, NY.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society.
