Concetta "Tina" LaRosa, 96, a lifelong resident of Port Chester died October 4, 2020. She was born July 27, 1924 in Port Chester to the late Thomas and Fina Sammarco LaRosa. Tina was raised and educated in Port Chester graduating from Port Chester High School in 1942. She then attended the Berkley Secretarial School. She was a longtime employee of the New York Daily News as a secretary and then becoming the short story editor. She retired in 1986. She was a devoted parishioner of the Parish of Saint John Bosco (Our Lady of Mercy). Miss LaRosa is survived by her beloved sister Marie LaRosa Colangelo of Boonton Township, NJ, nieces and nephews Joan Praiss of Naples, FL, Honorable John P. Colangelo of New Rochelle, NY, Janis Hoehn of Whippany, NJ and Ruth Anne Seifert of Downingtown, PA. 5 grand nieces and nephews and 4 great grand nephews. She was predeceased by her twin sister Elizabeth LaRosa on March 5, 2020 and also by her brother Thomas LaRosa. Visitation will be 9:00AM on Thursday October 8, 2020 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10AM at Parish of St. John Bosco (Our Lady of Mercy) 260 Westchester Ave. Port Chester, NY. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery Rye Brook, NY.
