Constance M. Catalano, 97, a resident of Bear, DE. and formerly of Port Chester, NY passed away peacefully on December 28, 2020 surrounded by her family.
She was born May 16, 1923 in Port Chester to the late Gaetano and Anna Spiginardo Esposito. She was raised and educated in Port Chester and is a graduate from Port Chester High School. She was the widow of Anthony Catalano, who was the love of her life. They loved to travel and enjoyed life to its fullest. Mr. Catalano died April 27, 1992. Mrs. Catalano was a retired employee of the Bank of New York. She was a devout catholic and a parishioner of the Holy Rosary Church in Port Chester. Many years ago Holy Rosary Church was destroyed in a fire, she had been instrumental in raising funds to restore the church.
Mrs. Catalano is survived by her sister Anna Matturo of Port Chester, New York, and her niece Theresa Voss and her husband Henry of Bear, DE. with whom she lived with for the last five years, her grandnieces Heaven Voss, (her fulltime caretaker) and her “curly top” Hope Voss. She is also survived by her nephew Anthony Diodato and his wife Tykisha and their son Jayden. She has many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly and they will all miss her as she was the matriarch of our family.
Besides her husband she was predeceased by her sisters Marion Dedrick, Therese Diodato and brother Dominic Esposito.
A Graveside Service will be held 11AM Saturday January 9, 2021 at Saint Mary's Cemetery Rye Brook, NY.
There will be no visitation.
