Damien Nash Gunning

Damien Nash Gunning, 50, a resident of Port Chester, NY passed away unexpectedly on Thursday June 23, 2022. He was born February 22, 1972 in New York City, NY.  He was educated at Resurrection Grammar School in Rye, NY and St. Mary's High School in Greenwich, CT.  Damien was an executive chef at many prominent restaurants throughout his career, but his passion for cooking was truly felt when he cooked for family and friends.  He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed camping, hiking, golfing, fishing, and playing sports.  His love for music was known to everyone.  He was known as a hard worker, lighthearted jokester and as a good, honest friend by those he was close to.  Damien was an avid NY Rangers and NY Mets fan to the end.
Damien is survived by his father, William Kevin Gunning of Port Chester, NY.; and his daughter, Tess Agnes Gunning of Wilton, CT.; his sister Amanda (Gunning) Gamez and her husband Daniel of Monroe, CT.; and his nephew Mason Gamez.  Damien was also predeceased by his mother Dorothy (Barber) Gunning.

A memorial gathering will be held 12pm-3pm on Saturday July 16, 2022 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. 40 Leicester St. Port Chester, NY. A funeral service will be held at 2:30pm presided by Father Timothy Wiggins.
