Darlene (Ruta) Noriega

Darlene Noriega, 60, a resident of Rye Brook, NY died February 13, 2023. She was born May 15, 1962 in Port Chester, NY to the late Frank and Josephine Morano Ruta.  She was raised and educated in Port Chester graduating from Academy of the Resurrection in Rye, NY in 1980.  Darlene was married June 7, 1987 to Wifredo Noriega at Our Lady of Mercy Church in Port Chester. She was a retired teacher's aid for the John F. Kennedy Magnet School in Port Chester. She was a parishioner of the Saint Joseph's Church in Somers, NY.
As all those who knew her would agree, Darlene possessed an untouched character of kindness and generosity. She loved all with a heart full of compassion, and gave of herself with all that she had. When it came to baking and cooking, you could always count on Darlene! Most importantly, when it came to friends, family, and faith, you knew you could count on Darlene to be there for you. Her radiant smile made her a joy to spend time with, and her pleasant demeanor, a peaceful person. She will be missed, but always believed that we will all meet again.

Darlene is survived by her beloved children Giselle Noriega and Frank Noriega, sisters Francine Ruta and Celia Ciotti and her husband Donald, and husband Wifredo Noriega and several cousins.
A memorial service will be held 2:00pm on Saturday February 18, 2023 at the Port Chester Knights of Columbus Hall 327 Westchester Ave. Port Chester, NY
